Yes, it's bad enough when the U.S. holds its nose and supports an autocrat, thinking the alternative would be worse, but at least there's an argument you can follow, even if you disagree. The effects for these people living under these dictators isnt really effected by trump’s intent and rhetoric. Kim is awful and should be denounced for it, so too should ahistoricism about the US’s past.
