He’s not arguing against changing it, he’s simply stating the way he’s always understood the term. There’s no reason to be dismissive because he’s a “MAN.” It sounds a little sexist if I’m honest.

The point is, that he would never have been affected either way. It's great that he understood it that way, but many don't, and language matters. *a little sexist*- are you kidding me?
