I want to try and stay positive on this matter. I think Elon's complete silence after that "they will not be visible at night" tweet is actually a good sign. Elon's companies are known for making drastic and rapid changes when they have to. 3/7

There might have been a design flaw that caused the satellites to be so reflective. It might be their flatness, or the position of their solar array. It might be possible to position them in a way that reduces the reflection or they might need to be redesigned. 4/7

Whatever the case, I'm optimistic that SpaceX will deal will this to a better outcome than the current predictions of tens of visible satellites at any given moment. 5/7

But there is still the moral and legislative question. Should it be legal to deform the sky for private profit? Should any single entity, government or otherwise, have this power without a global concensus? 6/7

I think that's the big issue we need to tackle right now. Take this case and use it to better understand how we humans treat each other. Is a for-profit technology worth it? I'm not sure.. 7/7
