This reminds me of the one time a friend corrected a teacher who has been mispronouncing my name for months. Just got up in front of the whole class and corrected her.

My law school roommate did that at our graduation. Her last name had her in the front row, and I could hear her correct the announcer when they called my name. Announcer stopped and repeated it. Never been so grateful.
