A middle school English teacher made fun of my pronunciation of the word macabre in front of the whole class.
The worst thing is that these tiny memories are so strong that we never forget them, but the other side usually forgets them as soon as they're over.

I was thinking about that this morning. I doubt that this teacher, or the gym teacher at that same middle school who joined the kids in calling me Chicken-legs Chelsea, would even recognize or remember me if I saw them somewhere now.
