Turns out the Krait Phantom is a pretty great exploration ship. You can get 70+ LY jumps out of it with engineering and Guardian FSD booster. It also has an extra internal compartment and larger compartments in general than the AspX.

Yeah it's a bit costlier but overall it probably came in closer to 2x the cost of my exploration AspX, most of that outlay is in the Guardian Booster and the ship itself. This is my loadout for DW2 if you're interested: https://s.orbis.zone/1sCn

Yeah I specced up both the Phantom and the Asp-Ex and tonne for tonne the Phantom is the better explorer. Larger module space, more module space and about 4% more jump range. I was quite shocked TBF.
