Out of curiosity, has anyone tried creating a "virtual commune" in the sense of pooling everyone's income then splitting it? I would think it'd break down very quickly, but I'd been interested to see if anyone's tried.

Those were physical communes though.
True, I just can't see how this concept would work any other way for any length of time.
