Out of curiosity, has anyone tried creating a "virtual commune" in the sense of pooling everyone's income then splitting it? I would think it'd break down very quickly, but I'd been interested to see if anyone's tried.
Israeli Kibbutzim did. It lasted about 1-2 generations before breaking up. There were many 100 years ago but today there are only a handful, and only because they're very rich. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibbutz
