This RIGHT HERE. To everyone who doesn't get why we need to stop using gendered language that excludes over half the human population, THIS is why. Crewed, *not* manned. Human-made, *not* man-made. Humankind, *not* mankind. We are not all men, but we are all human. Thank you.https://twitter.com/Astro_Flow/status/1031700996169388040 …

Also, "man" is *not* an acceptable term to use for all and any humans. We are *not* all men. Nor are we all women. Therefore the acceptable term for us is (wait for it) "human". Wow, that wasn't so hard, was it?

I'm a strong advocate for "crewed" and I do my best to switch words out of my vocab if they become outdated but I will say that - for me - I've always considered "man" to be gender-neutral in the general context (mailman etc.) I assume this is true for a lot of people as well.

To be absolutely clear, your tweet is spot on and it's super easy to change "man" to "human" in many instances and I don't see why anyone would fight this change. Just giving my perspective.
