Amazon/ Waterstones take about 60% of the cover price. Distributors/warehousing take a cut too. Publishers and authors end up with about 10% each. So when Waterstones sell a £25 book for £5, the author is getting 50p for years of work. Buy direct from publishers.

This is the open letter sent to Matt Hancock on 29.04.20 by British firms able to make PPE, after they were ignored for weeks. Many were able to provide PPE immediately. NHS & care staff could've been protected from the start. The Govt chose not to. medium.com/@change.orgUK/
