Ok so you know his email about not leaving campus for the Day of Absence was in March and the protests happened in May? And you know that the protests on May were initially triggered by the arrest of 2 black students and Brett felt a need to inject himself in that debate?
This is one of the problems, isn't it. All it takes is an internet connection to make things up out of whole cloth (or borrow from those who have), and spread them widely. Both/all "sides" are doing it. We *should* be talking to change minds--but not with lies. Reality exists.

This is something I think about almost daily. The rate at which technology is changing our interactions with each other is amazing. I really am curious how many are paying attention to it. I just feel like technology has hurtled us forward at a pace we are not adapted to handle.

Yes--the rate of change itself is changing so fast, that even our very fast cultural evolution is outpaced by it. There is almost no opportunity for individuals--or populations--to assess what is "good" for us. Add algorithms designed to capture us, and the outlook isn't good.

You’re right heather! All the more reason to discuss it with alt right darling James Damore.

Don’t you think that going on the show of a man that proclaimed diversity is NOT a strength, helps to make Bret look less credible? Giving your "story" to the Washington examiner helps? You know who owns the Examiner? You seem to think background is important just not for you.
