“Mob mob mob” - People at Trump rallies still chant lock her up but the real problem good old fashioned protesters. They’re the real mob!!!!
-
Can they not both exist?
-
Funny how she only seems to focus on one side though. For such an open thinker and all.
-
Nice work if you get it.
-
If one mob is attacking you and another mob is attacking someone else, you tend to focus on the one at your door. It doesn't diminish the problem of the other mob's existence, but self-defense takes priority.
-
What mob is attacking her again?
-
The mob that got her exiled from her job. The same mob that attacks her over calls to nuance and reason. The same mob that requires a united front against its perceived enemies, and goes berserk any time someone suggests some critical thinking.

Err... except the confirmation was not decided by voters but by the senate and the Republicans already held the majority? Maybe the real lesson is ‘when you have a majority, you can confirm Supreme Court candidates when your party members vote along partisan lines’.

I don't get how one, like Heather, starts down a causal chain but can pick an arbitrary stopping point. Sure, the outrage from left triggered the right, caused by the right's demonetization of a victim solely telling her story, caused by... The buck stopped at who held power.
-
The "left" must better, thinks Heather, as if that is a "winnable" strategy in American politics. There is such a divergence from reality between how politics is won and lost vs how an academic believes it should play out. It's as if she picks and chooses when to use Game Theory.
