Sigh. This isn’t helping. At all. “Or take the Senate itself—an institution that was literally designed to protect white supremacy from the threat of democracy.”https://www.thenation.com/article/white-men-have-good-reason-to-be-scared/ …

This is a good example of why my number 1 beef with SJW culture is not that it’s so nasty but that it has mad everything so brutally dumb.

Not disagreeing, but do you have thoughts about the idea that only like 15 people are even reading/following this stuff?

I disagree with that assessment. The Nation has a large audience, and hateful rhetoric is now regularly in the NYT and WaPo, too. Google, Starbucks...corporate culture is infected. This ideology has reach, in part because many think it’s small, and benign. It is neither.

I don't really disagree with that, and I find this kind of stuff as *annoying* as anyone else, but part of me is starting to wonder if this isn't like the "war on Christmas" meme, where you can find anything if you look hard enough. I honestly don't know.

No, it’s not like the War on Christmas.

I kind of pulled that out of my ass, but it's what it's starting to remind me of, so I dunno

You’d have to give me a War on Christmas incident analogous to the Evergreen thing. Did a mall Santa somewhere get harassed out of his job by baseball bat wielding atheists?

I *don't* think there's a war on Christmas, but if you follow certain accounts/blogs/stories, you could very easily be convinced that there is...and I was saying I'm starting to wonder if that's true with some of this PC stuff, and specifically in context of that article.

And I’m saying there’s a clear difference in kind when you consider the evidence for those two theories
