    November 2018, NYC voters overwhelmingly voted to create a groundbreaking Civic Engagement Commission & citywide participatory budgeting (PB) process. NYers demand more meaningful ways of being engaged in budget decisions.

    Mayor de Blasio promised to bring participatory budgeting to the national level if elected president. But more than a year after NYC voters approved a measure to bring it citywide, he’s yet to fully fund the effort.

    As a stop gap measure maybe... but this is not a long term solution. The new should address our transportation deserts and yet it doesn’t. We need long term solutions.
