"Mental illness" is usually a prog meme to be wary of. It's not well defined in general. It won't be long before "racism" is officially classified as a mental illness.https://twitter.com/666Dreyrugr14/status/997587349956591618 …

An unkind but counterintuitive take: Exclusion & bullying are natural & unconscious “social immune system” that seeks to protect the tribe from parasitic & other dangerous individuals. Instead of listening to these instincts, we counter them with phony “inclusiveness.”

What some see as unkindness, bullying or homophobia may actually be natural psychosocial reaction to expel elements that are dangerous to the cohesion & survival of the tribe. Now extreme self conscious egalitarian quasi religious reprogramming tries to contravene the instinct.

Protect the tribe from parasitic or dangerous people? Well I'd say that bullying is generally directed at harmless kids who are: 1. Small 2. Ugly 3. Socially unskilled and/or 4. Otherwise weird It does protect group conformity/traits but not so much from dangerous or parasitic

Everyone seems to have a different idea of what bullying looks like, who gets bullied, and why it happens. I think rarely are the guys at the top of the hierarchy bullying guys at the bottom. Isn’t it usually the guys right above them?

I’ve observed this too. At the top of the heap ones social status is secure and there is no need for gratuitous cut downs to elevate one’s own status.

But what if the instinct to exclude the creepy & weird isn’t solely a socially competitive one, but rather to plays a protective role to shield the tribe from homegrown destructive elements?

Perhaps the “trench coat mafia” has always been with us, even back among our roots in Africa... How do we suppose the “creepy loners” who turn out to be mass killers manifested themselves in a precivilized tribal society?

I think it's more about status really. Sure, maybe your tribe will be more functional in the long term if you cull the lowest status people. On the other hand they might just do what we saw in Columbine. And it's probably always been this way

I would agree that it’s certainly MOSTLY naked status competition, but there might also be some other things going on.
