I'm assuming they want the people who are crazy enough to consistently state they want to put company profitability first - some of whom will be liars, but some of whom will be genuine.

Well, given enough time, yes. It's not a sustainable mental state unless you're promoted way above your level. In the moment, some may be quite sincere, especially out of desperation to find a job.

No, I mean if you take the questions literally any answer that the company wants is literally lying. They're looking for a general "feeling" of being on the company's side though, and they're looking for liars.
