Oh he's mainly regarded as a protagonist

I realize that. I think that a misunderstood man who worked his way to being rich and takes in his nephews, yet is considered nasty and greedy by the general public, is a great representation of America.

Is he really considered nasty and greedy by the general public? I always loved Uncle Scrooge.
-
The public in the story universe. We, the viewers, can see what makes him act the way he does. Though come to think of it, it might just be like 10-20% of the public with really strong opinions. It isn't clear.

The old Scrooge and Donald Duck comic books, the ones from nearing 100 years ago, a really enjoyable to read.
-
I don't think I ever read those, but I enjoyed a lot of Uncle Scrooge comics from the 50s and 60s
