🐸 hbd nrx 🐸 added,
I mean, I'm pretty sure this is a 100% accurate depiction of postmodernists.
"They think dogs are social constructs" That's actually a much more reasonable position than what some academics now believe. Dogs were the result of a deliberate breeding program by society.
I like how they admit to being evil at the end, too.
Anyway, yes, domestication is literally a kind of human construction. The postmodernists aren't actually completely wrong, but I can't think of another set of philosophical ideas that lends itself so easily to being interpreted in such awful ways.
There's a difference between "sometimes the rules we espouse for 90% of situations fall apart" and "nothing is real, 2+2=4 only because someone said so."
The whole endeavor needs a lot more "This may be technically correct, but what are humans actually going to do with this concept?"
Sadly, virtue signalling against practical applications is one of the hallmarks of modern academia.
