The thing is, in America we need the religious right on our side, at least for now. We're not going to get anywhere without them considering their numbers and our lack of alternatives.

Suppose it different for me I'm in a very irreligious country we don't need them here. Like New Zealand or the Czech Republic both are very anti immigration both are atheists.

Sometimes I think we'd be better off that way, but I'm not sure. Religion adds in some amount of group cohesion, and the loss of it could lead to not caring about the Muslim invasion. The worst thing the American right ever did was to reject Darwin.
