I haven't thought about virtual property much in several years, but it should not be overlooked as something that can do at least some of what people are using cryptocurrencies for.

Video game makers have mostly overlooked and/or intentionally suppressed this market, and it doesn't help that ebay banned auctions of virtual goods about a decade ago.

disagree, key principle of btc is decentralised nature. virtual property is opposite of this.

Yeah, I agree, bitcoin is worthless, however the confidence in it determines its value. Worth and value are not the same thing.

Eventually things have value for reasons. Even expensive art (very hard to justify those prices though). Bitcoin will eventually converge with its true value.
