When your current problem is huge international wars, I can understand thinking about getting rid of countries.

But you don't really get rid of borders. They're either at the edges of countries, or they're everywhere inside them, eg gated communities

Agreed.. but that's the necessary step for killing it all off. Once they remove any traditional theistic aspects of their beliefs they cease to have the ability to justify their own moral authority. It's why their arguments are so easily debunked. It's purely emotive.

They think they're utilitarians. If you just look at the first order and don't think too much, they may seem correct
