A lot of people claim to love freedom of speech, but I hear screams for censorship constantly. Just this month: Senators asking tech companies to censor "extremists" faster Performative outrage about Logan Paul's anti-suicide video results in YouTube saying they'll censor more.

Freedom of speech is a two way sword. Back in my early days of Libertarianism it became apparent that if you allowed all speech it could be used to shut down other speech, hecklers veto as it were but mob scaled or tied to your job.

Explicit censorship is obviously worse than merely getting overwhelmed by other comments, and as long as anonymous speech remains protected job consequences won't always be relevant.
