But in general it's been difficult for him to do much more. Even if mass deportations are within his power, he needs sufficient support and funding in order to do them. He needs Congress for the wall, and they're somewhat hostile. Big business wants its cheap labor.

There are, of course, some disappointments like the Syria strike, but fortunately that didn't expand to a major military operation. On the whole I'm having a hard time seeing any other reasonable alt-right view than:

Trump is on the right track and trying to address our concerns, but the GOPe, Congress, and the media have made progress difficult. Trump is still the best we could have hoped for given the political environment, and in fact is the best president in decades.
