Basing a country's value on wealth is ridiculous. This is exactly why most people aren't capable of resisting urbanization and globalization.

Yeah, doesn't mean there aren't hard environmental factors. East Germany was/is significantly poorer than West Germany, is there an IQ disparity that large?

Alright, so we establish it's based on the environment, how exactly does this tie back to Ukraine? Because we sort of started having an argument when you said Ukraine has less of a GDP than Jamaica.

Well looking at that paper I cited, causality between IQ and gdp and education runs: education and gdp > IQ gains. @Cedarwooded

East Germany in the 90s? The fall of communism has a lot to do with the GDP gains. I don't necessarily know what's going on with the IQ gains then.

Was there a lot of migration from west to east Germany then? Were the samples actually representative? Maybe you're right that this is due to a change in education, though. More familiarity with tests can improve scores sometimes
