Meanwhile white men are taught to never express interest lest they be labeled a creep, accused of sexual harassment, etc.

Yes. This isn't just feminism, though. It's existed for centuries. Perhaps Christianity has something to do with it. Certainly, the knightly code of chivalry does. And the Victorians.

Yes, that's not just due to feminism, but in the pre-feminism, pre-mass immigration days this wasn't as much of a problem.

Everyone accepted the rules. Some took them too far (e.g., J S Mill, who never had sex with his wife), but the system worked for most people. Introduce others who don't even know the rules exist, and it's a devastation.

The West had a system: it involved finishing schools and débutante balls, where young ladies (with chaperones in tow) would meet eligible bachelors. Queen Elizabeth II abolished the presentation of débutantes at Court in 1958. That was the beginning of the end.

Some great things about débutante balls: everyone attending was pre-vetted, and had received training in etiquette & ballroom dancing. The lights were bright, and the music (played live) was civilized. Exact opposite of the nightclub scene.

There doesn't seem to be any courting process now. No clear and straightforward way to find a wife.

None at all, indeed. I'm sure this is part of why marriages have got later and later. Nightclubs are anti-courting places. One can see how the market caused that to be so: whereas debutante balls were limited in number, nightclubs seek repeat business all year round.

Nightclubs naturally evolved to attract repeat business? But who would go to a nightclub every weekend, all year round? Probably not someone who was looking to settle down.
