Why do people think the left being against evolutionary biology and evolutionary explanations of human behavior is a new phenomenon?

Yeah understand that explanation for the US but it doesn't really apply in Europe or Australia, it's like we have forgotten history.

Yeah I don't know what's going on outside the US. Within the US, keep in mind the prominence of the religious right in the 80s-00s

Australia nothing really comparable to the us religious right. There were some but they didn't get political power they are considered nuts

Yes they certainly did. But they oppose evolution for similar reasons leftists oppose evo psych, because they think it's racist etc.
