I see only two possibilities when the system returns no info: 1. Officers take further steps to determine why. Or 2. The stop is valid.

So it was either a valid stop or an honest mistake. She has no argument that running her tags was somehow improper. She should be fired.

The real problem here is that she's assuming bad faith when it was obviously either valid or an honest error.
