I thought it was really interesting to see that Bush and Gore each got about equal numbers of newspaper endorsements in 2000.

At least they reflected the partisan split of the country better then. However, they were all globalists then, too.

I don't remember that well what they were like pre-Clinton. I haven't looked into Watergate enough to know if Nixon really did anything

The biggest difference between now and the 90s is that they basically pretended and tried to be unbiased back then, whereas now they don't
