I'm really just expressing disappointment with most fruit varieties. But point taken that even a bad variety may occasionally have outliers
Why are they selling bad berries (& this goes for blueberries and raspberries as well: true for all three, though rasp are more reliable)?

In my experience, though, the people running or working at these don't even notice. Lots of people just aren't very attuned to flavors

I can tell you that I've been to fields where I've tried several varieties grown the same way, and generally there's a clear difference.
