In general the people on the very top aren't the smartest. People expect the correlation to be better than it is.

We do of course know about the correlation between individual capability and wealth, but it's probably weaker than people think.

Furthermore, As Ultimate Survivor shows, knowing yourself is on balance more NB than IQ. The same applies to organizations.
