Had to take a kid to the ER this evening due to concussion. Scary.

Normal CT scan, but visual symptoms and vomiting were present. Sent home to recover. Crossing fingers for no further problems.

The little guy was acting perky enough before bed at least. Currently he's asleep. Still worried about him.

Imagine your son saying "dad, you have no eyes" when he looked around as we were determining his injury. (His vision improved later)

Needless to say, I'm still a little freaked out about it.

Literally just listening to him sleep right now. I had a little nap earlier, but too nervous at the moment.

He was perky before he went to sleep, but as I've been reading not all concussion symptoms show up immediately. (maybe not best thing 2 read

...and don't mess around if symptoms return/worsen. straight to hospital! (this's one of those times when parenting matters!)

thanks, yes, it's important to keep a good eye on him for now. I hope he wakes up today with normal vision, thoughts, & no nausea
