Remember Slashdot and Usenet in the mid to late 90s? PGP, information wanting to be free, etc. Early internet culture was very libertarian.

Good question. & not just NEETS, lots of "non mainstream" ppl that saw thru Dem/Repubs went libertarian for lack of alternatives.
