One of the bitterest red pills is realizing that Churchill could have stayed out of WW2 and it would have been ok. Let Germany fight USSR.

Additionally, the US could have stayed out. No need to support the Brits if they stay out. Who really cares about what Japan was doing?

Japan wouldn't have attacked the US if the US hadn't been trying to enforce an embargo. No need to enter that conflict.

Basically I just don't see the UK or US self-interest here, I don't have a dog in Germany vs. Poland, and I'll take Hitler over Stalin.

Lots of US and UK lives would have been saved if they'd stayed out, and so would German and Japanese lives. Who loses? Stalin & China?

war seemed obviously very expensive. Did Hitler have territorial ambitions for the UK itself? I don't know of any.
