Those numbers would be equal regardless of population size. (see previous discussion https://twitter.com/HbdNrx/status/693750306945896448?s=09 … )

In reality, targeting is not random and the populations are not equally murderous.
-
What we want is a comparison between the groups. How do overall murder rates compare, and how do interracial rates compare?
-
Regarding interracial rates, how much more dangerous are blacks to whites than vice-versa?
-
For interracial crimes of violence, in general, the ratio is about 4 or 5 to 1. Far from equal, but also not 50:1

Color of Crime goes into a lot more detail on all of this and more.http://www.colorofcrime.com

"Although most murders are within the same race, blacks were 13.6 times more likely to kill non-blacks than non-blacks were to kill blacks."

@HbdNrx True whether or not murders are strictly "random". Every time a b person encounters a w person, a w person encounters a b person -
@InaneImperium if b and w are equally murderous but all b murders are against w, then the nonrandom targeting would make the numbers unequal
