"Due process" is vastly overrated. Basically, America has taken it to an extreme and made the legal system terribly inefficient.

Layer upon layer of procedure builds up over time, but outcomes aren't improved. It's time to strip down and become efficient.

The layers build up in the name of due process, pushed along by lawyers who know that an inefficient system brings them more money.

Layers are added to fix apparent problems, but nobody can tell if the benefits outweigh the costs or if there are better alternatives.
