@HbdNrx
In machine learning, the correctness of algorithms depends on the amount of data the learner has seen.

@HbdNrx No matter how smart people are, if they aren't actually learning science they ain't gonna be good at it. -
@HbdNrx And if they are focusing on eternel test prep, they aren't going to be learning science. -
@Jkqyl disagree with this. science classes have tests, after all, which encourage people to learn the material -
@HbdNrx Yes, but you want to require them to not necessarily know any science. IQ tests require no knowledge of science by design. -
@Jkqyl the MCAT requires science knowledge and has a very high correlation with IQ. -
@HbdNrx It would certainly be better to use the MCAT than IQ. But where's the incentive to actually learn an entire scientific discipline? -
@Jkqyl maybe, maybe not. it's less efficient for everyone if we're just wasting people's time on learning stuff they don't need & IQ works -
@HbdNrx "Wasting people's time on learning stuff", who are going to be the scientists? Are we going to stop developing stuff? - 3 more replies
