@HbdNrx Darwinism doesn't result in stabile civilizations when applied to human society. That's one of the core contradictions.

@HbdNrx @Costofles So I realize, but they seem to want the eschatological assurance that only a religion can give. Hence Mr. Gnon. -
@HbdNrx @Costofles Which is why I called it a cheat. Progs think history is on their side. NRx thinks gnon's on their's, right? -
@HbdNrx @Costofles If you think about both positions are 'secular religion' cheats. Not so different philosophically speaking. -
@HbdNrx @Costofles I myself also *believe* that progism's unsustainable. I have no *knowlege* about any particular 'inevitable' outcomes. -
@Aristokles11235 @Costofles no, I don't think you get it. Progressivism is fundamentally faith-based (universalism, blank slate, etc.) -
@Aristokles11235 @Costofles whereas#NRx is at least attempting to be grounded in reality see https://darwinianreactionary.wordpress.com/2015/01/15/teleofunction-not-tradition/ … -
@HbdNrx@Aristokles11235 Right, but again, if "teleofunctionality" is inevitable, then why is progism ascendant? -
@Costofles
@Aristokles11235 progressivism was adaptive in the past, but it is no longer adaptive due to technological and social changes
