This seems to indicate that he’s beginning to genuinely take them on as an opponent and call their policies into question. The Federal Reserve relies on everyone respecting them and assuming they are cautious, analytical, and methodical.

The other theory: Trump is trying to link a recession to the Fed, so that more MAGA will be seen by the blue collar voters as the solution. This is wise and will probably work.

When we (not if) have the downturn, he can audit the Fed and say we need more tariffs and factories to rebuild. He won’t bailout the banks but will blame them. Stimulus will go to energy and manufacturing and infrastructure.

It would make sense for the Fed to raise rates to combat inflation, but I don't think we're seeing that much inflation right now.

Yeah. There’s definitely a reason for the FED, but they’ve proven themselves incapable of combatting inflation for the last century.
