I think " 1st verbal " warning from local PD should suffice and tell her that next similar incident will bring on a possible charge if file by the individual(s) on the receiving end

Colorado PD's have high % of Hispanic officers ( my childhood schoolmate's son is Denver PD deputy ~ colleagues are mostly Hispanic ) ~ wonder that has impacted the " decision ".
@mercnews December 2017 NO charges in this incident in multicultural Bay Areahttps://www.mercurynews.com/2017/12/14/video-of-woman-in-walnut-creek-starbucks-gets-attention/ … -
@mercnews A personal moment inflamed by national tension over immigration policy and American identity. NOTE: this update provides MORE details what had transpiredhttps://www.mercurynews.com/2018/10/05/clash-over-speaking-spanish-the-video-everyones-talking-about-and-what-happened-after/?utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&utm_content=fb-mercurynews&utm_campaign=socialflow … -
Still nothing criminal there
-
NO ~ I agree . It was unpleasant " public altercation " . IF the PD charges hold ~ it will serve as a precedent to " criminalize " anyone in future incidents .
