Let's say you really take the "just build your own" to heart and decide you're going to build your own truly free speech social media site. Then you find that you need to create a domain registrar certified by ICANN because you can't keep a domain name otherwise.

To make a domain registrar you need a sizeable corporation. There are substantial financial requirements for registering with ICANN. Then you find that banks won't allow your free speech domain registrar to have an account.

So you make a bank. This requires millions of dollars more investment. Then Visa and Mastercard refuse to allow your bank to receive payments. So you have to make a new credit card system, but then you're right back to the network effect problem because nobody has your cards.

Meanwhile, your "free speech" companies are big enough that you need to hire lots of people, and you want to make sure everyone believes in free speech. Otherwise, you end up right back where you started with SJWs in control.

So you make absolute belief in freedom of speech a requirement for working at your companies, but unfortunately you're subject to antidiscrimination laws including disparate impact. Now what?pic.twitter.com/YsuEOr0Q82
