"Privilege" is the idea that spread like wildfire starting in about 2005 and is currently destroying Western Civilization. The response--"cuck"--caught on in about 2015.

It is like a religion to some people. Maybe it’s the autist in me, but I have such a hard time understanding the true believers and why they believe the things they do. Is it just because they think everybody else believes it?

The first time I encountered it being seriously discussed, I was horrified. Why focus on such a hostile idea? Isn't privilege a good thing? If you want to talk about privilege, why not focus on executive pay & the top 1%? It always seemed disastrous to national harmony to me.

Anyway, why did it catch on so much? I guess people were really itching for "explanations" for racial inequality, and they just latched onto it. Occupy Wall Street tried to focus on the top 1%, but it turns out that people are actually far more interested in racial politics.

This is a conversation I had with someone. What I’m failing to understand is why you would want to empower people if you’re aware of their hostility to you.pic.twitter.com/n6KiWqbRz0

I assume that the idea is "to the extent these people dislike us, it's because they have legitimate greivances. Once their situation is better, they'll stop blaming us"
