The truth is, everyone got too distracted debating whether the right flags were used or whether people were too fat or dumb-looking rather than focusing on the important issue: The popular conception of Charlottesville is literally the opposite of the actual facts of that day.

Oh I know you did talk about it, but in general I saw a lot of disavowing that wasn't productive. Improving optics is fine, but even people who have a bad image should be defended from media lies.
