The truth is, everyone got too distracted debating whether the right flags were used or whether people were too fat or dumb-looking rather than focusing on the important issue: The popular conception of Charlottesville is literally the opposite of the actual facts of that day.

It's also fine to say, "I told you that public rallies would be a bad idea", but I do think that needs to be followed with, "Nevertheless, the media-driven narrative of what happened is completely false"
