I'll believe a civil war when I see it, too, but the instability is definitely increasing. I have no idea how it will all shake out over the next 20 or 30 years.

We’re not going to see a Civil War like the one in the 1860s. I do think we will see massive civil unrest like the early 1970s, think Weather Underground bombings.

America's current political climate is similar to events/chaos led up to triumphant Bolshevik Revolution that toppled House of Romanov & collapse of Imperial Russia

Check this out. (No-one would side with the USGovt. Russia has stated categorically it would send special forces to help insurgents in a second American Revolution. If the USGovt. used nukes, all other countries would combine against it.)https://twitter.com/curtdoolittle/status/1013171290621009921 …

They’d side with the left but to essentially no effectiveness. Germany cannot wage war in their own continent, let alone ours. Only Canada would have a chance, and their military would be incredibly ineffective and bogged down in urban peacekeeping regardless.
-
The UK or China might be able to do *something*, but it would be a nightmare for them regardless.
