Because it seems to me that these people are perfectly fine with, say, reporting someone to the UK authorities for "hate speech" even if that similarly causes death.

The most consistent approach is either to have a blanket "no doxxing" rule or to apply US law everywhere. (I'd go with the former.)

As internet progresses ideological enforcement over neutral enforcement will be more ever the norm. The latter isn't selected for in power struggles.
