The flooding issue at University Hospital Ayr Emergency Department has now been rectified and we are no longer diverting patients to Crosshouse. However, both units are still busy and so only attend ED in an emergency. Call NHS24 on 111 for medical advice.

Due to a flood in the ED at Ayr Hospital, we are having to divert patients from the unit. If you need care but it's not an emergency, call NHS24 on 111. For emergencies, call 999 or go to Crosshouse. Remember the unit will be very busy and so only come if it is an emergency.

Was a really good day. Lots of consensus on many issues. Next time we will explore thematic or service specific issues that we all want to discuss/review and develop and do it as a collective.

just because you see drs &nurses having a smile, joke, laugh, in public areas of ED or AMU or a Ward or overhear them discussing something non-clinical as they work, it doesn't mean they aren't working flat out, long shifts in a demanding job. Don't judge or tut. Coping mechanism
