Per NYT: Facebook “has quietly developed software to suppress posts from appearing in people’s news feeds in specific geographic areas .... The feature was created to help Facebook get into China, a market where the social network has been blocked, these people said.”
When I asked Zuckerberg about this, he said censorship in accord with Chinese govt dictates no different than refusing to deny the Holocaust. Sorry, but that’s beyond absurd
I say this as a former law enforcement official: given Facebook’s long record of evasions, misstatements, half truths & outright falsehoods, I’d be very careful rehearsing their talking points, no matter how much $$ they give you
Google is banned in China, their people using China developed search enginee so CCP can control what they want them to know. As simple as winnie the pooh is banned. FB is going to be a propaganda machine. Shame.
