Per NYT: Facebook “has quietly developed software to suppress posts from appearing in people’s news feeds in specific geographic areas .... The feature was created to help Facebook get into China, a market where the social network has been blocked, these people said.”

When I asked Zuckerberg about this, he said censorship in accord with Chinese govt dictates no different than refusing to deny the Holocaust. Sorry, but that’s beyond absurd

I say this as a former law enforcement official: given Facebook’s long record of evasions, misstatements, half truths & outright falsehoods, I’d be very careful rehearsing their talking points, no matter how much $$ they give you
