Regulate (or nationalize) the drug companies. At least stop letting them advertise. Expand Medicaid. Address inequality and low wages and housing. In short, stop working for the rich, Josh, and help your desperate constituents.

Challenging their green god brings out the pot adherents. Cue the tropes: 1. Reefer madness 2. Never an overdose 3. Alcohol worse & legal 4. It cures cancer! 5. Last but not least, "It's harmless." No facts will convince otherwise. To do so would remove use justification.
