He’s a charismatic guy. He asked me at one point what I was doing next. I said I was headed up to Poplar Bluff. He asked if he could come. I said, absolutely. He insisted on changing his clothes, and then here he came, & we went to an event in Poplar Bluff together

I look pretty serious in that picture, maybe because I was sad to say goodbye. But I hope for Chauncey and for everybody I’ve been meeting this week that telling their stories, or a part of them, is just a beginning
